🌟 Who We Are

Civically Engaged is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) empowering justice-involved youth and young adults—specifically formerly incarcerated individuals aged 16–21—through:

✔️ Civic education✔️ Leadership development✔️ Political workforce training✔️ Mentorship

We believe investing in youth impacted by the juvenile justice system strengthens democracy and transforms communities from the inside out.

🎯 Our Mission

To provide justice-involved youth with opportunities to:

  • Develop political literacy

  • Lead in their communities

  • Gain workforce readiness in politics & public service

  • Mentor the next generation of changemakers

💡 We teach young people how to think politically, not what to think politically.

🌍 Our Vision

A civic landscape where young people impacted by incarceration are: ✨ Leading movements ✨ Shaping policy ✨ Building better futures—for themselves and generations to come.

At Civically Engaged, we know democracy thrives when it is inclusive, transformative, and powered by those historically excluded.
